Pet of the Week – August 14

Cost Plus Furniture presents Midnight!

Cost Plus Furniture Warehouse presents Midnight! Midnight is a 55lb black Shepherd mix. He’s kinda perfect because he’s sweet and affectionate but he’s not pushy about it, he’s great on a leash, he’s a little older so he’s chill but he still has plenty of spunk, and he appears to be house trained!

He met a youngster in the lobby and was very sweet with her, so we’re going to say he likes kids too!

You can meet this handsome fluff of pup at the Little Rock Animal Village. Just $90 covers his adoption, including his shots and city license. What a bargain for daily snuggles and smiles!!

To inquire about Midnight, call 501-376-3067 and ask about Animal #48254.

The Little Rock Animal Village is at 4500 Kramer Street off South University, right behind Cost Plus Furniture Warehouse. The Village is full of wonderful dogs, puppies, cats, and OODLES of kittens, all waiting for homes today!

Thank you so much to Cost Plus Furniture Warehouse in Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Malvern for helping The Little Rock Animal Village save homeless pets like Midnight!

Longtime sports reporter and radio host Wess Moore joins 103.7 The Buzz

KABZ-FM, 103.7 The Buzz is pleased to announce that Wess Moore will be joining The Buzz staff as co-host of The Zone with Justin Acri and producer Matt Travis.  The Zone airs weekdays from 10am to 1pm.  Moore will also continue in his role as the Fox 16 Sports Director.  He has been covering sports in Arkansas for the last 15 years. Moore also has hosted a radio show for the last several years on another Arkansas station.  He most recently was named the 2016 Arkansas Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association and is a two-time winner of the sports reporter of the year as voted on by the readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Moore also started a state-wide high school football TV Show and created The Hog Zone, a pregame and postgame football show.

Moore replaces longtime host of The Zone, Pat Bradley, who has been with the station since 2007.  Bradley recently relocated back to his hometown of Boston.  The Arkansas Sports Hall of Famer will continue to be heard on various Buzz shows as a contributor and can also be seen as an analyst for his third year on the SEC Network during basketball season.  He will be greatly missed around the office by his co-workers and on the air by listeners and fans.

Moore starts in his new role with 103.7 The Buzz on Monday, August 13th.

Quotes:

Justin Acri: “We are going to really miss Pat daily in The Zone, but certainly understand the draw of family and your hometown.  He has been a huge part of The Buzz team and our success for more than a decade and will continue to be a great featured contributor to the station going forward.  I know he will always consider Little Rock and Arkansas a second home regardless of where he’s living.”

Wess Moore: “I’m excited to be joining such a successful sports talk radio station with a rich history in Arkansas. The Buzz has some of best personalities in the business and I’m honored to get the opportunity to work alongside them.  I look forward to being a part of The Zone with Justin Acri who’s created an entertaining, smart show engaging sports fans on all levels. I truly believe we share the same passion for our jobs and I can’t wait to continue my radio career at a station and on a show so committed to its listeners.”

Cost Plus Furniture presents Bradley!

Cost Plus Furniture Warehouse presents Bradley! Bradley is fully grown at about 20lbs and just over 2 years old. It’s hard to tell from his photos but he’s actually brindle colored! He’s listed as a Schnauzer/Maltese mix, and we aren’t going to argue that since we don’t know what his actual pedigree is!

Bradley is a chill little dude, and he appears to be house broken already. He explored the yard at the Animal Village, then was completely happy relaxing in a lap and watching the world go by. If you’re looking for a low energy friend, Bradley is your guy.

Bradley does currently have heart-worms, but the Animal Village will treat him at no additional cost to you, thanks to a fund from Friends of the Animal Village!

You can meet this little sweetie at the Little Rock Animal Village. Just $90 covers his adoption, including his shots and city license. He’s already neutered, so he can go home with you today!
