More About the Champions

Alyse Eady

Network: THV 11
Bio: Alyse was crowned Miss Arkansas in 2010, and represented her state in the 2011 Miss America pageant, where she was first runner-up. Alyse anchored the morning newscast for Today’s THV, Channel 11 until she moved to FOX 5 as an anchor in Atlanta. In 2016 Alyse took home the winning title of our bracket and is back again to hopefully donate $1000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Arkansas.

Donna Terrell

Network: Fox 16
Bio: Another participant in the 2018 Bracket of Champions is Donna Terrell of Fox 16. Donna anchors at 5:30 and 9:00 weekdays. Donna is dedicated to community service, she created Donna Terrell’s Yoga Warriors Fighting Colon Cancer.
If you call and vote for Donna she will be graciously donating the money to Yoga Warriors Fighting Colon Cancer.

Dawn Scott

Network: Today’s THV
Bio: Today’s THV 11 anchor Dawn Scott has won the Bracket 3 times! Dawn holds the winning title from the years of 1999, 2000, & 2010!

Dawn has repeatedly been voted “Best News Anchor” by readers of the Arkansas Times and “Best Anchor” by readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Dawn selected The Project Zero as her charity.

Beth Hunt

Network: KATV
Bio: Channel 7’s Evening Anchor, Beth Hunt holds titles from 2012 & 2008. An Arkansas Native, Beth earned her degree from Arkansas State University Jonesboro. If she wins the 2018 Bracket of Champions, Beth has chosen Mamie’s Poppy Plates to be the recipient of the $1000 donation. 

Becky Ditchfield

Network: 9NEWS
Bio: After winning the titles in 2005 & 2006 Becky Ditchfield left Little Rock and headed to Denver in 2007 as a meteorologist for 9NEWS. Becky graduated from Valparaiso University in Indiana with a B.S. degree in Meteorology. She also holds minors in both math and broadcasting and is a member of both the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association. If Becky wins she has elected Make a Wish as her charity.

Anne Jansen Broadwater

Network: Today’s THV
Bio: Anne Jansen is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary Academy. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunications from the University of Tulsa. In 1982 she began her career at KTHV Channel – 11 as a general assignment reporter. She was later promoted to news anchor and held that position for more than twenty years before retiring in February 2008.replaced by actual content later. If Anne wins the 2018 title, she will have the money donated to the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance.

Janelle Lilley

Network: KATV
Bio: Janelle joined KATV in 2011 where she serves as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter and Saturday Morning Daybreak anchor. She holds the WINNING title from 2017 and 2015’s brackets. Janelle’s charity of choice is 6th & Goal – a football program in Little Rock for 6th Graders with an emphasis on character.

Sarah Fortner

Network: WCNC-36
Bio: Sarah Fortner, 2014 Bracket Champion, has elected The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as the recipient of the $1000 if she is the 2018 Bracket of Champions winner.

Sarah moved to tornado alley in Arkansas in 2012 and served as. Time in Little Rock consisted of tracking tornadoes and a handful of record snow & ice storms. Sarah has since transferred to Charlotte, North Carolina but still keeps in touch with Arkansans.

Melinda Mayo

Network: KATV
Bio: KATV Meteorologist, Melinda Mayo took home the prize in 2009 and is looking to do it again this year! A native of Pine Bluff Melinda loves serving her home state every day on KATV Daybreak and Good Morning Arkansas.

If Melinda wins the $1000 donation to a charity she will present it to VFW Little Rock Post #9095.

Alyson Courtney

Network: KATV
Bio: Alyson Courtney, 2013 champion and member of the KATV Channel 7 Daybreak crew needs your vote to bring home the money to her favorite charity, Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Karen Fuller

Network: KATV

Karen was the 1996 & 1997 champion. Karen has elected The Animal Village of Little Rock as her charity.
